Bright Home + New Carpet

Beautiful home from Residence Magazine that is super fresh and modern. I am love with these Moroccan carpets that have this minimalist Scandinavian style. I decided I had to have one in my own home so I went and bought one at West Elm and put it in my office and I love it!! It adds such a great touch of warmth and really makes it feel so much more current and new. So fun to add one new element to a room and feel such a great change. Don't you just love decorating! What fun..

Lights and Floors

There are so many wonderful things in this apartment but there are two things I really love and that is the light in the living room and the carpet. I have seen these two things over and over in many homes over the past year and they work in a variety of decor but look best in modern or slightly bohemian space. The herringbone wood flooring is equally amazing as is the twin antique bed in the kids room.....very sweet apartment!

Enjoy!

Magical White and Bright Home

The home of designer Ursula Mascaro is a wonderful mix where nature, crafts and exotic finds collide in a white and bright, magical space. The outdoor space where a wood bench is pushed against large stones looks great with big white cushions. Leather Moroccan poofs offer seating for guests under the shade of a beautiful apple tree. Inside a rustic table mixes perfectly with modern chairs. Love that there is a base of white throughout the home with wood and a great mix of gorgeous colour as accents. There is nothing planned in this home yet it flows so well and feels super relaxed and comfortable. This home is situated in Menorca and is opposite the port of Es Castell. What a charming place to call home...

Mix of Style in Spain

This gorgeous house, photographed by Enrique Menossi, has a really relaxed style. At first it felt French to me but after looking through the photos a few times there is a real mix and that is what I love to see! A little French, a little Gustavian, a bit of Moroccan style (what about that bath!)...but not to much of a Spanish style at all. I love the bedroom with the dainty bed...oh such a crush on that room....with the heavy curtains, the bed layered with covers and that high ceiling! I also really like the little boys room, that could easily be a little girls room.... So beautiful with the draping on the bed.

This home is such a good example of how versatile decorating in white really is! It applies to every style and elevates the elegance and beauty of every space!

Enjoy!

Inspiration In White: Moroccan Style

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

I was so inspired when I saw the photos below of this wonderful Moroccan Style home all in whites. Usually this style tends to be very colourful so to see these rooms all done in white, black and silver is such a treat. This is the getaway home of designer Valerie Barkowski who also has a home in Brussels.

I have also included the video of her home from the website Interieurs.fr. The video is in French but don't let that stop you from watching it as there are many features in the video that are not shown in the photos! What Valerie explains is how she had different artists help create the furniture and how she created the fabric for the pillows by doing x-rays of flowers! The home is from the 17th century so much of it has been lovingly renovated. The bed cover with the long shirt integrated into the vintage sheets is just stunning.  So beautiful!
