Cabin Decor

This little California cabin is all vintage and a cute little hideaway for two. This couple had to be creative in their redo of the house as it is only a rental.  Nice neutral tones with touches of yellow give a good accent for the wood panel walls. A cute little wire basket is perfect for the bar and a minimalist kitchen is brightened up with colourful accessories. Feels like the perfect rustic cabin decor to me!

Swedish Landmark Style

This beautifully renovated landmark building in Sweden has kept all of its charm and added even more. I love the windows you find in these apartments in Swedish apartment buildings. Lovely tall windows letting in as much light as possible. Pretty black and white kitchen with dark wood counters and a super Smeg fridge...one of my favourites in black. The rooms are tiny but the great styling and the large kitchen makes up for it. Isn't the toile de jouy wall paper a fun surprise in the hallway!

French Country Kitchen

Pretty little kitchen with a French Country twist. The amazing chandelier really makes a statement and seems very oversized but that is what I like about it! The sink in Carrera marble is another special element in this gorgeous kitchen. A superb fridge and this great stove with red controls just to add that extra touch of colour!

Inspiration in White: Painted Furniture

I love painted furniture and I have many pieces in my home. Vintage furniture painted in a rustic way with chalk paint or milk paint are my favourites. I like how over time the lightly sanded parts become more pronounced and the intentional wear and tear sanded into the piece becomes real. I have done some of the painting myself and have had a few pieces done for me.
Of course the Queen of painted furniture is Miss Mustard Seed's, Marion Parsons. She is so talented and always does an amazing job on the pieces she hunts down at tag sales and flea markets. She has a great number of tutorials so head on over if you are considering doing a little DIY on a piece you have found or something you have at home. You can even buy her Milk Paint line to help you along.
Enjoy!
