Interiors: Black and White + Brights

Such a cute apartment all done in black and white with pops of bright green and yellow. Even the little garden table in the brick backyard is a bright spot to sit and enjoy an early morning coffee. The best part has got to be the bedroom though....such pretty wallpaper in a leaf and floral pattern and a wonderful bench at the end of the bed styled to perfection! I would love to try one wall of paper in my bedroom as I am feeling ready to change the colour of the room.. What do you think?

Manhattan Chic in Blue and White

Metallic finishes add wonderful reflection to this glamorous, modern space in Manhattan. So well done in shades of blue and white with silver and chrome touches throughout. An amazing kitchen with mirrored doors does double duty as the entry into the apartment. This has been disguised with two large closets on either side that look so elegant and not expected for a kitchen which is always fun! Just beside the kitchen is the jewel of a powder room....actually the entire apartment is pretty much like a jewel! Pretty blue wall paper in the bedroom is so beautiful against the white bedding and the satiny headboard. What a chic little space!

Stylish Open Plan Apartment

This wonderful open plan space has lots of great elements. The concrete floor has such a fantastic glossy finish, beautiful beams all around the apartment and white, white everywhere. What could be better! The owners of this apartment in Copenhagen are both in the fashion business and you can see their good taste throughout the space. They have used really perfect classic pieces that will stand the test of time matched with great modern design.

Designer Home in Denmark

This is the Denmark home of jewellery designer Marie Von Lotzbeck. What do I love in this space? Well, the wall unit in the living room would be number one! It is so well styled with only a few books and many beautiful accessories that gives it so much presence. The cement floor would be number two...this gives it a very industrial feel contrasting the other elements in the home. Third would be the rustic wooden furniture and the wood pillars that add wonderful character to this home.

Petit Apartment in France

I found this super cute apartment in France at The Style Files and I just love it! So small but really well done...all white to keep the space open and fresh. What I think is so brilliant is the the use of repetition in this space. The use of the round baskets on the wall make it feel so much larger and then the feeling is repeated with the mirrors on the wall. The large mesh lamp is shown in the living room and then just steps away it is featured again in the dining room as well. The vases on the table, although different sizes and shapes, are numerous and create a great impact. You would think that all of these repeating elements in such a small space would seem cluttered but actually it looks amazing!

Fresh in Stockholm

Lots of things to love in this Swedish apartment, from the colorful Eames chairs to the cool artwork on the wall. The bedroom is so great with the prints on the walls and the little twinkle lights strung across the them. It feels so nicely styled and really fresh. A nice compact kitchen looks through to the dining room and the living space. Cute little twin bed with the desk...I think I would work and nap in this room quite well!

Lights and Floors

There are so many wonderful things in this apartment but there are two things I really love and that is the light in the living room and the carpet. I have seen these two things over and over in many homes over the past year and they work in a variety of decor but look best in modern or slightly bohemian space. The herringbone wood flooring is equally amazing as is the twin antique bed in the kids room.....very sweet apartment!

Stylish Apartment in Sweden

Take a look at this apartment in Malmo, Sweden built in 1904. Such gorgeous ceilings and moldings, fabulous curved doorways and what an amazing floor! Love this place..the decorating is modern and simple with fun lighting and accessories and super styling. Do you like the green in the kitchen? I think it's fun and adds a great shot of colour. It has a rather different feeling than the rest of the apartment..a bit more country..but still has a great look.

This is the slightly odd but strangely beautiful apartment of fashion designer Frank Leder. A home with the most amazing architectural details from fabulous molded ceilings to the gorgeous herringbone floors.....Really everything is so interesting in this place! Jars and jars of what I am not sure, covering several surfaces and then there is the pile of chairs in the dining room...super creative and eclectic! Every room has such a great ceiling lamp as well. Take a slow look at each room not to miss a detail!

Super Studio Apartment

This studio is small on space but big on style! I love the way the designers somehow made an entrance, a bedroom, living room and kitchen, not to mention an island to eat at in this tiny 400 sq ft Brooklyn apartment. So clever! The entry has an Ikea table with two big oversize lamps that work so well in the space making it feel bigger rather than smaller. Same with the full size couch..it actually makes the room seem longer. The lathe panels incorporate a bit of texture and style while creating a small area around the bed that lets the light filter through. Now this is the way to live well in a small space!
