Loft Makeunder

The East Village loft of designer John Derian was a makeunder project and not a makeover. His desire to keep the original patina of the place is evident in the walls and floors of this former garment factory. Rather than taking the typical approach of removing and replacing the old he has done a fantastic job of lightly restoring and even leaving certain elements that give this loft such character. The antiques and art in the living room are what I really love..

So nice to meet you!

I love the textures of this house! Am especially ooohing and ahhhing over the gorgeous living room! I also love the fact that it does feature colour just in the right amounts. Thanks so much for sharing.
