This trend of removable wall paper has got me thinking....where can I put some!! I am tired of my bedroom decor and really want a change and I think this may be just the thing that could do it! What is so brilliant is that I can do this and when I am tired of it there is not big problem removing it from the wall. There are so many amazing companies and patterns as well. I absolutely love the one from Anthropologie that is a whole mural...so perfect.

Now this is my kind of New York apartment situated in one of my favourite neighborhoods..Soho. Light filled and glamorous and guess what... it is for sale for a small price of 12 Million! Oh yeah, just a small price to pay to live in this beautiful space. There are a few of these amazing open spaces in this apartment (such as the one in the first photo) and all offer the perfect view of New York. Very modern and yet very cozy....any takers?

I have always loved the cotton pendant lamps inspired by the original KOUSHI LAMP by photographer Mark Eden Schooley. Of course the Koushi lamp is rather expensive so there have been many DIY and knock off lamps seen on blogs and magazines. I have to say this lamp would look great in my office so I ave thought more than once about getting one myself but it is something I can dream about for a future space for now.
The original is available here and a wonderful look a like is available at Bodie and Fou.
Have a great weekend!

This little California cabin is all vintage and a cute little hideaway for two. This couple had to be creative in their redo of the house as it is only a rental. Nice neutral tones with touches of yellow give a good accent for the wood panel walls. A cute little wire basket is perfect for the bar and a minimalist kitchen is brightened up with colourful accessories. Feels like the perfect rustic cabin decor to me!

This beautifully renovated landmark building in Sweden has kept all of its charm and added even more. I love the windows you find in these apartments in Swedish apartment buildings. Lovely tall windows letting in as much light as possible. Pretty black and white kitchen with dark wood counters and a super Smeg fridge...one of my favourites in black. The rooms are tiny but the great styling and the large kitchen makes up for it. Isn't the toile de jouy wall paper a fun surprise in the hallway!

I found myself very attracted to the mix of gold and white these days. I have been decorating an apartment that we are doing in gold and white and I just love it. I came across the photo of a bedroom (first photo) done by the Toronto designer Christine Dovey (go take a look at her work here) and went wow! This room is just perfect and one of my favourite rooms I have come across in a long time. The use of the gold and white ceiling fixture and the black wall lamps is gorgeous with the mix of wood in the bed....well it could not get better than this.
I began looking around at other gold and white ceiling fixtures (or just plain gold) and I find they look really fresh and add such a wonderful richness to a space. Take a look at a few here...

Most of you know the wonderful Grace Coddington, Creative Director of Vogue Magazine, from her work in the magazine or from the movie The September Issue (love that movie!). She is known for her incredible styling of the amazing photoshoots for Vogue and now for her home full of photos and her interesting cat collectables as well. She calls herself a hoarder but really she has created a charming and styled home with so much personality.
I am reading her biography presently simply titled Grace.....very interesting life indeed.

Pretty little kitchen with a French Country twist. The amazing chandelier really makes a statement and seems very oversized but that is what I like about it! The sink in Carrera marble is another special element in this gorgeous kitchen. A superb fridge and this great stove with red controls just to add that extra touch of colour!
