Sophisticated Apartment in Sweden

This incredible space was a grand home that was turned into an office building and has now been turned back into these incredible apartments. The building is so beautiful and this apartment is really so sophisticated, just....STUNNING! The finishes are in marble and porcelain, white oak floors and a custom designed kitchen...oh yes this is a real beauty. Take a look at the view from the apartment window and the terrace is....well ....really, what more can I say. I would live here in a second! I will show you another apartment from this builder tomorrow! See more incredible Swedish style here....

Enjoy!

Interiors: Creative and Eclectic

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

This pretty home in London has some really great elements. I especially like the kitchen....great lights, a mix of wood and tile on the floor and really cool built in shelving! The rest of the home is very eclectic but again has some creative ideas going. The globes on the dresser in the living room make such a fun collection and what room isn't more festive with flags strung across it? I love homes that are naturally and instinctively put together...makes it feel really homey and easy going.... take a look at a couple of other eclectic homes I have blogged about before..

Super Design with Ikea

I have featured homes from Ikea Family Live several times (take a look at this post and this one) and here is another that I think is really well done. Ikea is so simple to put together and you can be very creative with all of their pieces. If there is any white furniture that is kid friendly it would be Ikea white couches! They wash up super well and when the slipcover starts to look worn you can get a replacement rather inexpensively. I am really loving these dining room chairs and the couches can look so modern and high end! The picture wall has a clever pattern...a little different.. and what about the book shelf wallpaper in the office...well done!

Inspiration in White: Open Shelving

When I moved into my house the kitchen had already been renovated but if I was redoing it today I would put in lots of open shelves. I could show my collection of ceramics..(oh don't worry I have a lot displayed on open shelves in the dining room!!)..or ironstone (which I totally love....a new collection perhaps?). I think the look of open shelves gives such a relaxed feeling to a room and.....when shelves are filled with a vintage ironstone collection, as so many of these photos are, the effect of the different whites together is gorgeous!!

Interiors: Designer Perri Wolfman

The Southampton home of Charles Gold the photographer and Perri Wolfman the tableware designer for Restoration Hardware is just what you would expect from two creative people...clever and inspirational! The wing chairs in the living room are some of my favourites from Restoration Hardware, the lighting in the kitchen is so much fun and I love the old framed spoons on the counter! Amazing turquoise chairs hanging in the workroom have fantastic impact on the wall and the green matches on the table look so great in the white ceramic pieces. Love it..

Industrial Vintage Style

I really like the mix of vintage and industrial style in this wonderful home in Normandy, France (an area that I love!) So many great things in these photos including the big clock in the living room, the light bulbs in a basket and take a look at the lighting everywhere...so clever and fun! Every room has something interesting and imaginative to look at...I think they love their home and it shows in the care they took in each room...what do you think?

I showed some of Henry Bourne's photographs earlier this week and I just can not get enough. I love the way he captures these amazing interiors..... So gorgeous this first photo with the black and white! What about these couches!!! I think there are a few different homes here but the styling, the angles and the light are all incredibly well done in all of the rooms. It is worth a visit to his website to see the wonderful work he is doing.

Designer Home: Yvonne Koné

The home of accessories designer Yvonne Koné (her blog is so much fun) was recently featured in Est Magazine with pictures taken by the super talented photographer Line Klein. Her home feels so much like her accessories. So clean and spare but classic and refined. Her accessories are a beautiful quality and feel old and new at the same time....something that you would keep for years and never tire of...so beautiful..

Inspiration in White: Vintage Doors and Shutters

There are so many ways to use old doors and shutters in a home...and they always look good no matter what you do with them from....leaning them against a wall to using them as a headboard or actually installing them on a window or in a doorway. I have used a shutter as a headboard and as a screen and I have an old Victorian door in my shop that I changed to a mirror (bottom picture). They add character to a modern space and look fantastic surrounded by other vintage pieces. Are there other ways you have used old doors and shutters?

Grand Simplicity

The home of London designer Rose Uniacke is timeless in its simplicity and beauty. Lovely detailed architecture plays well against gorgeous antiques and modern pieces. This home is sooo sophisticated...golds, cream and white mixed with marble and wood give the home a calm and comfortable feeling even with the vastness of each space. So refined and classic that even the stools at the island in the kitchen have gold legs! What a beautiful job Rose has done with this home...

Enjoy!
