This beautiful house in Cornwall was designed by photographer Paul Massey. A longtime fashion, news and interiors photographer Paul has recently created some amazing homes himself. What I love the best in this house though is the kitchen design...oh this is really so great! The subway tile all the way to the ceiling looks fantastic, the great finish on the cupboards and the wooden countertop all add up to an inspiring space. The kitchen is open to the living room area which is decorated in a really simple and beautiful way with comfortable, stylish furniture. The whole house feels easy and cozy. Nothing fussy or precious just a really comfortable welcoming space.

This gorgeous home is on Lake Como in Italy and oh that is one place I would love to go. First of all George Clooney has a home nearby and well a little star spotting would be fun, but really if this home is any indication of what the other homes in the area look like it must be beautiful. What I really like is the mix of styles in this home which is elegant in its architecture but rustic in the decor. I always find it so interesting to put together designs that we don't think could work together but actually they often have great impact and are really creative if we just give it a try. Hope you have a super weekend!

Lots of things to love in this Swedish apartment, from the colorful Eames chairs to the cool artwork on the wall. The bedroom is so great with the prints on the walls and the little twinkle lights strung across the them. It feels so nicely styled and really fresh. A nice compact kitchen looks through to the dining room and the living space. Cute little twin bed with the desk...I think I would work and nap in this room quite well!

For 2014 I want to change things up a bit on my blog and one of the projects I have wanted to do for awhile is videos. I have never appeared on my blog and I have never shown my own decor but that is about to change....I love decorating and doing things around my home (and of course the homes of my clients) so I want to be able to share that with you this year. I will feature different ideas on setting tables, changing up your decor in the living room or bedroom and perhaps some before and afters in my clients homes.
My first video was shot in my dining room and I wanted to do a table that you could set up all year. It works in the winter or the summer and all you need is fresh herbs and branches. You could add flowers in small vases on the table but I set it this time with greenery only. I used Rosemary, mint and eucylyptus branches on the table...and of course I used mylookslikewhite ceramics as well. Hope you enjoy! Would love to hear your feedback of what you would like to see....(click on Vimeo to see it in HD)

Well I finally did it! I am opening my own ceramic studio with two friends and fellow artists...So excited! This will be another great part in my life as an entrepreneur, artist, interior designer, brand builder and blogger of course! I am thrilled to have a place to work on my ceramics but not only that, we will give classes in the space as well so that will be so much fun. This is a dream I have had that is coming to realization and it is a great feeling!!
So of course being an interior designer I can not wait to decorate and all week I have been putting together ideas. It is a very square space that we have and very industrial. The walls are white of course and the concrete floor is grey. This is a working studio that will have a lot of traffic...for this reason I think I will add a bit of colour...one accent colour (I would love yellow) plus lots of wood and metal. Take a look at some of the ideas I found....

This country retreat of Paige and Smoot Hull started out as a getaway place near Round Top for the couple. To help with the mortgage they started to rent out their salavage filled home as a vacation rental. Before too long their vacationing clients wanted to purchase items from their home and just like that they became antique dealers. Their home has got the most amazing vintage pieces from screen doors over the fireplace to an old door as a headboard. The memo board is a bed spring and the fan cover over the stove is a metal awning. Super inventive recycling of materials and so well styled inside the home.

I love the feeling of this Tuscan style home on the Kingsbrook Estate in Southern Australia. Much of the furniture has been made by the owner and he has given it just the right amount of rustic charm. My favourite part of the home though is the outdoors. The covered patio, that is really more like an outdoor living room and of course the stone terrace is so beautiful as well. Feels a lot like Italy to me!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

There is nothing in this modern house but pure design...no furniture, no accessories to talk about but I find it incredibly beautiful. The way it is built, how the light is allowed into the space and the simplicity of the design make this home by Japanese architect Kenjo Ido really something to see. I love how the walls have space in between them to allow the light from the roof top terrace to flow through the house and with the slanted walls and openings, create beautiful light patterns throughout the home. The stairs are another great feature as is the concrete kitchen island and bathroom with a sunken tub....wow!

I never seem to have enough storage in my home for anything..I mean my dishes are stuffed into my kitchen cupboards and I have not one but two buffets in my dining room to hold even more. My towels seem to fall on the floor when I open the linen closet from lack of space and well, don't open any of my bathroom drawers! I love the armoires, shelving and buffets in these photos that make storage, stylish and easy. Most of the furniture in these photos could go in any room and look great. I could use them all!!
